Doli Yatra


When Gangotri is closed for public, the Ganga ki doli is carried to Mukhwa village - facing Dharali on the other side of the Ganga. The villagers of Mukhwa Dharali come in their best, dance and beat the drums and welcome the doli and celebrate Thaulu. Gangotri is closed during Diwali in October/November and is opened in April/May.
